Job summary

Vizrt is seeking an experienced engineer to join Viz Trio in Bergen, working on Delphi and C# code for a large live broadcast desktop app.

You will apply AI-assisted development, mentor colleagues, and help decide what to rewrite, wrap, or leave unchanged, shaping system architecture.

Collaborate with the wider Trio team, deliver code on air, and contribute to rapid modernization while keeping existing broadcasts stable and reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Strong background in C# with good Delphi experience or interest.
• Experience maintaining large long-lived desktop apps with legacy code.
• Ability to mentor and share technical knowledge.
• Judgment to modernize architecture when appropriate.
• Experience collaborating across teams and contributing to technical decisions.

The challenge

Viz Trio is a large Delphi and C# application that has run live broadcasts around the world for more than two decades, and we are modernizing it while it stays on air. That means:

• Re-engineering parts of a mature system built on technologies from different generations
• Improving Delphi/C# interop and carefully migrating selected Delphi code to C#
• Integrating new web-based UI components

This is the kind of problem most engineers never get to touch: deep, real, consequential, and visible on screen. We want someone who finds that exciting rather than daunting.

Qualifications

Who you are

We care most about how you approach problems, but we also want a solid background. We'd expect:

• You embrace AI-assisted development where it helps you move faster without compromising engineering quality
• A strong background and experience with a high-level object-oriented language like C#
• Experience with Delphi or interest in learning and working with the language
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and safely evolving large long-lived desktop applications with complex legacy codebases
• Genuine care for architecture and system design, and the judgment to know when to modernize and when to leave well enough alone
• You raise the level of the people around you through mentoring, reviews, and sharing your technical experience
• Experience collaborating across teams and contributing to technical decision-making
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent skills and experience
