Senior Java Developer

Overview

Are you a Senior Java Developer who wants to build innovative products for Norwegian banks?

Mastercard Payment Services Norway (MPSNO) is looking for a senior Java developer to participate in a team working with development and maintenance of our BKAD service. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

The development team uses Scrum methodology and works closely with the product owner and relevant business managers to succeed with the product vision.

In this position you will:

• Contribute to development and delivery of software solutions, including moving and adjusting existing applications and customizations according to Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices.
• Perform system maintenance, identify root causes, and remediate problems.
• Develop and maintain our services.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and business units to discuss solutions and functionalities.
• Work in a team to achieve common goals.

Your professional qualifications include:

• A relevant higher education degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant Java development experience (considering candidates with less experience if other qualifications are strong).
• Experience with agile development processes (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Skilled in backend technologies like Spring, JPA, and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, databases, and SQL.
• Development experience with REST-based APIs.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Maven, IntelliJ, and Splunk.
