Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Python Developer based in Norway for a remote-first project building a next-generation mobile app for a professional football team. You will design scalable backend services with Python (FastAPI/Flask), integrate AI features, build APIs, and work with Docker and Azure in a distributed international team.

Qualifications

• Proven Python backend development experience with scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of FastAPI or Flask and REST API design.
• Experience integrating AI/ML services via APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming and JSON data exchange.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Docker, cloud deployment, and CI/CD experience; Azure is a plus.
• Understanding of security, authentication, authorization and data protection.
• Remote work capability and clear English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services (FastAPI/Flask).
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support mobile features and fan engagement.
• Implement AI features by integrating OpenAI, Hugging Face, or similar providers.
• Develop asynchronous data flows and reliable inter-service communication.
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for performance and scalability.
• Implement OAuth2 and JWT authentication with data privacy in mind.
• Containerize apps with Docker and support Azure deployment.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with an international team to deliver user-focused solutions.
