Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Completion Engineer to join our team in Stord. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and structured completion and commissioning process from preparation through execution, both onshore and offshore. The position needs close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and a strong focus on HSSE and quality throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute during the preparation phase through review and verification of documentation and drawings relevant to MC and commissioning.
• Provide engineering input and technical expertise for designated systems.
• Estimate and plan commissioning scope of work, both onshore and offshore, including input to overall project plans.
• Independently plan and execute MC follow‑up and commissioning activities.
• Participate in MC punch‑outs and FATs (factory acceptance tests) at supplier sites.
• Update progress and input data in PIMS or other project completion systems.
• Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure efficient and safe commissioning execution.
• Plan and call off ATS resources as needed, manage support personnel and contractors.
• Ensure spare parts, special tools, and first fills are available prior to execution.
• Maintain strong focus on HSSE in all activities.
• Participate in pre‑start‑up and performance test reviews as necessary.
• Ensure a smooth transition from project to operations during handover.
• The position is fully mobile, needing presence both onshore (Stord) and offshore as part of project execution.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within project completion and commissioning.
• Experience from NORSOK‑based projects and the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
• Strong system‑based commissioning knowledge and experience.
• Familiar with project completion systems and document management systems (experience with PIMS is an advantage).
• Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership abilities, capable of participating and leading teams of commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Structured, proactive, and solution‑oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates commitment to LEAN principles, continuous improvement, and safe execution.
• Motivated team player with strong collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
