Job summary

Carwow seeks a Senior Privacy Counsel to own the day-to-day privacy program, advise senior management and partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Commercial teams. You will drive privacy by design and manage DPIAs, DSAs and data-sharing assessments across multi‑jurisdictional contexts.

This role requires a qualified lawyer with in‑house privacy leadership, strong UK/EU privacy knowledge, and a hands-on, commercially aware approach to governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with in-house privacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK/European data protection law.
• Experience building, governing and maturing privacy programmes.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Carwow’s privacy governance framework and risk controls.
• Provide pragmatic, risk-based privacy advice to senior leadership.
• Lead privacy training and awareness across product, engineering and marketing teams.
• Oversee DPIAs, data sharing assessments and data contracting.
• Advise on AI governance and multi‑jurisdictional privacy requirements.
