Skyscanner is seeking a Principal Engineer – Identity & Privacy to shape the technical foundations that earn traveller trust while unlocking data and AI capabilities across web, app, backend and advertising experiences.

You'll own the identity, consent and privacy engineering strategy, set standards, mentor teams and partner with Legal, Privacy, Security and Data Governance to deliver scalable, compliant, privacy‑driven solutions across products and platforms.

Qualifications

• Privacy-engineering experience translating GDPR/PECR/CCPA into practical engineering decisions.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed identity and data platforms.
• Proven leadership across multiple teams without direct line authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a long-term identity, consent and privacy roadmap.
• Lead scalable identity architecture and data processing across sessions and devices.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security and Data Governance to balance risk and product value.
