Job summary

Six Robotics in Oslo builds software for autonomous UAVs. Join our Software Factory to shape the systems that engineers rely on daily, from monorepo structure to CI workflows, in a role building and evolving internal platforms and tooling.

You will work with Python and modern dev tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and on-prem infrastructure, delivering reliable, scalable solutions that reduce friction for teams.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, with proficiency in Python.
• Experience building tooling, platforms, frameworks, or infrastructure that other engineers use.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or GitLab, together with solid knowledge of Docker.
• An interest in developer experience, interfaces, and reducing unnecessary complexity for other teams.
• A pragmatic mindset and a strong sense of responsibility for quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• You will spend most of your time building and improving the systems, interfaces, and tools that engineers rely on every day.
• Build and evolve the internal platform, tooling, and automation used across engineering
• Design clear interfaces and abstractions around build, validation, CI, and development workflows
• Shape how the monorepo fits together, including shared conventions, project structure, and common workflows
• Develop services, workflows, and automation in Python
• Improve developer experience through faster feedback, smoother workflows, and better defaults
• Work directly with engineers to understand where they lose time or hit friction
• Keep the engineering platform reliable, scalable, and maintainable as the organization grows
