Job summary

CTS Group in Norway is seeking a Senior Planner to oversee planning and scheduling for large-scale data centre construction projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will ensure timelines, budgets, and resources align to deliver complex facilities on time.

You will develop detailed schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, conduct CPM analyses, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and present progress to management. A 5-7 year track record and PMP/ PSP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale projects.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• PMP or PSP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to align with objectives.
• Conduct CPM, resource leveling, and risk assessments to optimize timelines.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate schedules and resolve conflicts.

The Senior Planner will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the planning and scheduling functions for large-scale construction projects. This role ensures that project timelines are realistic, adhered to, and align with budgetary and resource constraints. The Senior Planner will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Utilize industry-standard scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to create detailed project plans.
• Conduct critical path analysis (CPM), resource levelling, and risk assessments to optimize project timelines.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate schedules, identify interdependencies, and resolve conflicts.
• Track project progress against baseline schedules, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports to management
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Provide expertise in schedule impacts due to changes in scope, resources, or unforeseen circumstances.
• Identify opportunities for improving planning and scheduling processes and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and construction industry guidelines.
• Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities relevant to the role as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
• Proven track record of working on complex, large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) is preferred.
