Job summary

Supercell in London is seeking a Senior Match-3 Designer to own the puzzle experience in our cozy mobile games. You’ll craft levels, balance difficulty and drive player delight through data-informed iteration from live ops to new content.

As a senior member, you’ll mentor teammates, shape level production with internal teams and external partners, and help evolve the game’s progression while preserving its warm, inviting tone.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping free-to-play match-3 or puzzle games.
• Experience designing LiveOps events, seasonal content or limited-time modes.
• Strong understanding of player progression, retention, engagement and monetisation in puzzle.
• Experience improving level editors, pipelines or content creation workflows.
• Experience leading small feature teams or mentoring designers.
• Deep understanding of competition and genre trends.
• Passion for cosy games and emotional player experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and balance match-3 levels for wide player skill ranges.
• Collaborate with developers to tune game feel for best-in-class match-3.
• Own blockers, boosters and rewards, shaping level progression.
• Use analytics and playtesting to refine levels and player experience.
• Work with Engineering to improve level design tools and workflows.
• Partner with Art to ensure readable visuals and cohesive style.
• Plan and own Match 3 content production to support milestones.
• Lead external level design contractors and outsourcing partners to meet standards.
• Mentor other designers through feedback and collaboration.
