Vard Electro, a leading provider of marine electrical systems within the Vard Group, seeks a Senior Engineer to drive switchgear product design, development, and implementation with a focus on offshore vessels and naval projects. The role emphasizes collaboration across international teams and suppliers.

You will contribute to technical documentation, certifications, and project execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with maritime standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with switchboard engineering in a marine environment.
• Experience in the maritime industry and knowledge of maritime power systems.
• Proficiency in English and Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of switchgear products for marine applications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Select 3rd party suppliers and manage procurement.
• Deliver switchgear products for newbuilds and retrofits.
• Obtain Class approval and product certification.
• Provide technical support to project teams.
