Job summary

Six Robotics, based in Oslo, is seeking a senior IT infrastructure generalist to own and operate a Linux-heavy on-premises environment. You will manage data-centre hardware, storage, networking, and identity across users, while shaping tools and practices as priorities evolve.

You are a pragmatic, independent problem-solver who thrives in a hands-on role, collaborating across disciplines to keep systems reliable and scalable as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, with strong Linux skills.
• Practical experience from on-premises infrastructure and data-centre environments.
• Solid understanding of servers, storage, networking and virtualization, and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Comfort supporting both infrastructure and end users.
• Ability to work independently, learn unfamiliar systems quickly, and see problems through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot our Linux-based infrastructure and internal services, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, backups and monitoring.
• Do hands-on data-centre work: installation, cabling, hardware replacement and fault-finding.
• Support employees and endpoints across Linux, Windows and macOS, and manage identity, access, onboarding, offboarding and equipment.
• Handle incidents and vendors, keep documentation current, and drive ongoing improvements to our infrastructure.
• Automate recurring work and reduce operational dependencies, so the environment stays reliable as we grow.
