Job summary

Giant Leap is seeking a senior Java backend developer to advance Permit, a core component of the Parksphere platform. You will join an autonomous product team with responsibility for architecture, technology and product development.

We are a part of Visma, delivering cloud-based parking solutions across Europe. You will help modernize and operate Permit, focusing on robustness, security and scalability while collaborating with product managers, UX designers and other team members.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of backend Java experience.
• 2) Solid knowledge of Spring or similar frameworks.
• 3) Experience with cloud architecture and AWS.
• 4) Knowledge of REST APIs and relational databases.
• 5) Familiarity with agile methods and test-driven development.
• 6) Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• 7) Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modernize and operate Permit with focus on robustness, security and scalability.
• - Develop and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for efficient cloud usage.
• - Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and others in an autonomous team.
• - Drive good code structure, architecture choices and solid development principles.
• - Use AI-assisted and agentic development as part of the work.
