Job summary

GE HealthCare in Horten, Norway, seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to advance cardiovascular ultrasound systems across the full product lifecycle, from design to installed-base improvements. You will contribute to backend processing, CPU architecture, BIOS, FPGA integration, power and interface design, and system verification while collaborating with software, mechanical, sourcing and regulatory teams.

A Master’s or PhD in Electronics or related field with 5–10 years of experience is preferred;

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience developing, integrating or sustaining complex electronic products or systems.
• Experience in medical devices or regulated environments is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system architecture, hardware design and integration for cardiovascular ultrasound platforms.
• Lead hardware bring-up, verification and reliability improvements across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, sourcing, manufacturing and regulatory teams.
