Job summary

PrimeGlobal in Svalbard is seeking a Senior Florist to design and craft floral arrangements for weddings, events and corporate occasions. You will lead a small team, source materials, and ensure high quality while maintaining budget constraints.

You will collaborate with clients to realize their vision, stay current with floral trends, and uphold safety standards. A minimum of five years' experience in a professional floristry setting is required, with strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a florist in a professional setting.
• Creative eye for design with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand clients needs and preferences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing a team is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, foliage and their care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create unique and visually stunning floral arrangements for weddings, parties, corporate events and other occasions.
• Consult with clients to understand their vision and preferences to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Source and purchase materials and supplies for arrangements within budget constraints.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and arrange for timely restocking when needed.
• Oversee daily operations of the floral shop including managing a team of florists and assistants.
• Train new staff members on proper techniques for arranging, handling and caring for flowers.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly to ensure optimal functionality.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations when handling flowers and other materials.
• Keep up-to-date with current trends in the floral industry to offer innovative design options to clients.

Salary

This is a contract job with a salary of $1700 per month

This position is based in Svalbard Candidates must have their own visa or be eligible for employment in Svalbard
