What would you do at Prisma?
We anticipate you to be responsible for the following areas:
- People: Empower your engineering team to achieve technical excellence and meaningful impact by ensuring they have support and resources to do their best work. Provide constructive feedback, create learning and growth opportunities, and challenge them to improve. Help them understand why their work matters and how it aligns with company-wide KPIs. We believe strong, healthy teams start with investing in people.
- Process: Optimize and refine development processes and technical practices to drive continuous improvement. Lead engineering team meetings to plan and prioritize work, run retrospectives to identify improvements, and establish policies that enhance communication, collaboration, and code quality.
- Delivery: Ensure your team consistently delivers high-quality software that provides value at a sustainable pace. Collaborate with the Product Manager to prioritize product initiatives, define the roadmap, and drive technical improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We believe the right candidate should meet a majority of the criteria listed below.
- 8+ years of proven leadership in software engineering teams, with hands-on experience as a software engineer.
- Experience in database and backend technologies, including TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, SQL Server), familiarity with cloud services, APIs (GraphQL/REST), and developer tooling is a plus.
- High standards for quality, balancing pragmatism and ownership, making thoughtful trade-offs, and driving meaningful impact.
- Focus on helping your team understand the why.
- Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal, with ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and foster collaboration.
- Structured thought process: methodical problem-solving, clear goals, anticipation of challenges, and aligned execution.

Hiring Process
- Introductory call with Head of Engineering
- Take-home assignment followed by a debrief with Engineering and Leadership
- Team interview with engineers on your potential team
- Leadership interview with the COO
- Final interview with the CEO
