Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a Senior Electronics Safety Engineer to lead safety electronics developments for our robotics and automation products at our Vindafjord HQ. You will own architecture, schematics, and PCB design, with a focus on safety logic and redundancy, plus wireless communication integration.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide junior engineers, and coordinate with external certification partners to ensure robust safety from design through validation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electronics engineering experience with wireless and safety electronics.
• Full PCB development cycle experience including EMC-aware design.
• Experience with IEC 61508/ISO 13849/IEC 62061 safety standards.
• Experience with Altium, LTSpice, STM32, and cable harness design.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFT, high-volume production, or embedded hardware cybersecurity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safety Electronics: Drive the design and development of safety electronics, from architecture and schematics through PCB design, validation, and release to production.
• Technical Expertise: Develop solutions around safety logic and redundancy, helping build electronics safety competence across R&D.
• Product Development: Apply your expertise across the AutoStore product portfolio, including safety electronics and wireless communication solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate technical activities across disciplines and work with external partners on safety certification and validation.
• Planning & Delivery: Contribute to planning and provide clear visibility on technical deliverables, documentation, and milestones.
