Job summary

Sensio is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to advance RoomMate, a privacy-first safety sensor developed and manufactured in Norway. You will own embedded software in C++ on Linux, collaborating with hardware, product and design to improve performance and robustness.

You will work in-house across hardware and software, contributing to product decisions, ensuring reliability in real care environments, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Very experienced with C++ and embedded software development in Linux environments.
• Experience within Hardware in the Loop testing.
• Good judgement balancing technical quality, product needs and practical constraints.
• A team player - you thrive in a team environment, sharing knowledge and growing together.
• A product-oriented thinker - you think beyond code and understand how technology impacts the end user.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C++ on Linux.
• Work closely with hardware, product, design and engineering to shape the next generation of RoomMate.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges, from problem definition to working solutions.
• Contribute to product discovery and technical decision-making.
• Improve the quality, reliability, performance and maintainability of a product used in real care environments.
• Support a strong engineering culture through knowledge-sharing, technical discussions and mentoring.
