Job summary

Ubiq Aerospace is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer in Trondheim. The role covers end-to-end electronics design, from concept through schematic capture and PCB layout, with hands-on prototyping, bring-up, and validation of hardware for autonomous aircraft systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on PCB experience, strong analog/digital knowledge, and a pragmatic, collaborative mindset. The position offers growth in a small, multidisciplinary team in Trondheim, Norway.

Qualifications

• Education in electronics or a related field.
• Hands-on PCB design and prototype experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong analog and digital circuit knowledge.
• Ability to select components with trade-offs based on performance and reliability.
• Experience debugging and bringing up new PCBs.
• Familiar with common lab equipment and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end electronics design from requirements to PCB layout.
• Prototyping and board bring-up, debugging and iteration.
• Design for manufacturing considerations and collaboration with partners.
• Assembly and integration of electronics with higher-level subsystems.
• Testing and validation to ensure performance in the intended environment.
• Contribute to hardware architecture and trade-off decisions.
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure integrated system design.
• Document hardware designs, test procedures and results.
