Job summary

Cognite in Oslo seeks a Senior Director, Financial Reporting — Global Accounting Controller to own end-to-end accounting operations, IFRS reporting, and a scalable group close. You will partner with FP&A, Sourcing, and international entities to drive accuracy and timely reporting.

Lead an AI-first finance function, build a high-performing team, and implement automated controls. You will work with auditors, ensure tax compliance, and shape global accounting principles to support Cognite's growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and procedures; experience preparing financial statements.
• Strong command of general-ledger functions and month-/year-end close.
• Proven leadership and team-management experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS financial statements for entities across the Cognite Group, including consolidated statements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the consolidated group with reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies; maintain group principles.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax papers for Norwegian entities and tax returns for international subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors; support the audit committee with minutes and presentations.
• Build scalable controls and processes; own procure-to-pay and treasury for the group.
