Job summary

Cognite is leading industrial digitalization, delivering data-driven AI solutions and the Cognite Data Fusion platform to industrial customers around the world. We seek a data engineer who can design scalable pipelines and integrate with diverse data sources, serving cross-functional teams and customers.

You will work on building robust data models, APIs, and data processing workflows, collaborating with scientists, engineers and product managers to unlock the full potential of industrial data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a customer-facing data-intensive role.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience delivering production-grade data pipelines using Python, SQL and REST APIs.
• Experience with distributed computing such as Kubernetes and managed cloud services such as GCP and/or Azure.
• DevOps mindset with experience of Git, CI/CD and deployment environments.
• Enjoys working in cross-functional teams and can independently investigate and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion.
• Drive and manage integrations, extractions, data modeling, and analysis using Cognite connectors, SQL, Python/Java and REST APIs.
• Create custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, project managers and solution architects to deliver customer value.
• Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for high-quality code and deliveries.
• Support customers and partners in conducting data engineering tasks with Cognite products.
• Contribute to the development of Cognite’s tools and SDKs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to prioritize customer needs.
