Job summary

TechnipFMC in Kongsberg is seeking a Senior Buyer to join the Controls & Automation Procurement team, supporting Manufacturing and Projects with scope from Electronics, Machining to Topside SCU projects. You will work closely with Sourcing, Engineering and Project Teams to ensure timely delivery within budget.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure and across international stakeholders, with a commitment to inclusion and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering with 4+ years in procurement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; solution oriented.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to chair meetings.
• Knowledge of SAP and business systems; able to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills strategic purchasing activities within time and budget, expedites bids and supplier negotiations.
• Communicate order status with internal stakeholders, and ensure accuracy of system data.
• Capable of resolving commercial issues, and have advanced skills to manage purchase orders of high value and complexity.
• Drive mitigation processes towards suppliers as required.
• Work closely with Sourcing, Engineering and Project Teams in execution issues.
