Job summary

Eldorado Markets is seeking an experienced backend developer to build the trading backend for stocks, ETFs, and crypto, enabling collaborative investing worldwide.

You will design and optimize real-time trading systems, market data, news, events, and portfolio management, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to turn the roadmap into a scalable product.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years backend development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and Java Spring Boot or Node.js.
• Experience on cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
• Familiar with RESTful API, WebSocket API, microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
• Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers, ideally in finance domain.

Your role and responsibilities

• Build the backend for trading in stocks, ETFs and crypto to enable collaborative investing.
• Design and optimize real-time trading systems including for securities, market data, news and events as well as portfolio and equity position management.
• Work closely with other members of the engineering team to rapidly turn our vision and roadmap into a product with global impact.

Qualifications And Skills

• 5+ years experience in software engineering with at least 3 years experience developing backend systems with relational databases in frameworks such as Java Spring Boot, MySQL and Node JS.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud
• Knowledge of RESTful API, WebSocket API, microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
• You're familiar with product management best practices and have collaborated closely with other engineers and product managers.
• You've worked in the finance space and/or are knowledgeable about investing and the capital markets.
