Job summary

CEMAsys is seeking an Automation QA Engineer in Tønsberg, Norway. The role focuses on developing manual and automated tests, collaborating with developers and product managers to design and validate new features, and building a robust test strategy.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software testing, 2+ years in Playwright with TypeScript, and strong API testing skills using Postman/Newman, Docker, AWS, and Azure. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience.
• 2+ years of test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Functional and non-functional testing for web applications.
• Ability to identify bugs, analyze root causes, ensure high software quality.
• Hands-on in building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and SQL for test execution.
• Strong UX principles understanding for web apps.
• Deep understanding of REST API principles and integration testing.
• Experience with Postman and Newman for API testing.
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS, Azure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Improve test documentation: Test Plans, Scenarios, Cases, Checklists.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives in Agile teams.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to design and validate features.
• Define and implement the product test strategy; build and manage testing processes.
• Contribute to security testing and ensure overall product reliability.
