Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking a senior SAS engineer to lead documentation, studies, and FEL deliverables for offshore projects. The role requires offshore SAS expertise, ISO 11064 knowledge, and experience with major suppliers’ solutions.

The candidate will coordinate with clients and vendors, ensure discipline checks, and manage orders for automation materials for offshore installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation/Cybernetics.
• 7-12 years’ experience with SAS systems in modification projects for systems in operation.
• Modifications on offshore installations when in operation.
• Knowledge of Control Room Design (ISO 11064).
• Experience with EPCIC project phases (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Completion).
• Offshore system knowledge (process/electrical/telecom/utility, BPCS and SIS).
• Experience with main suppliers’ technical solutions for SAS/IACS/OT (Emerson, Siemens, ABB, Kongsberg, Honeywell).
• IEC 61850 and latest protocols/interfaces (GOOSE, MMS, PTP, SV).
• IEC 61508/61511 - Safety Instrumented Systems.
• ISO 11064 – Human Factor Engineering.
• IEC 62443 for IACS/OT cyber security.
• NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce new documentation and drawings such as Cause & Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire & Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings. Produce work packages for installation.
• Produce deliverables for studies and Front End Loading (FEL) work.
• Produce documentation for Safety and Automation Systems (SAS) Discipline checks and approvals of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• Order all automation materials needed for offshore installation and understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
• Discuss with Client and vendor representatives to find optimal technical solutions.
