Job summary

VitalEssence Spa in Oslo, Norway is seeking a Senior Architect to lead and manage architectural projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with clients, engineers and consultants to develop design concepts, prepare construction drawings, monitor progress and ensure quality, timeline and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other 3D modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations and construction methods.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly.
• Experience working on commercial or residential projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept development to construction documents.
• Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and objectives.
• Develop design concepts that meet aesthetic, functional and budgetary goals.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications for construction.
• Oversee project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and provide guidance to contractors.
• Coordinate with engineers and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material selections and change orders.
• Mentor junior architects and provide guidance on technical issues.
