Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Analytics Manager to join the Pricing Analytics team. You will lead analysts, curate datasets, surface metrics and run deeper analyses to influence pricing directions and product strategy.

You will own the pricing model, balance finance/product requirements, and build scalable data models and data pipelines to allocate costs to products and transactions. A strong background in SQL, statistics, and stakeholder management is required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years as an analyst and 2-5 years leading others (overlap possible).
• Experience in a financial company.
• Strong analytical ability and data literacy.
• Extensive SQL experience to build/maintain complex data sources.
• Understanding of statistics and modelling concepts.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Manager to join the Pricing Analytics team at Wise.

This role offers an opportunity to have a direct and measurable impact on Wise’s mission — money without borders. Built by and for people who live global lives. The team is responsible for helping ensure that Wise grows sustainably, and for ensuring our customers pay fair and transparent fees.

What you’ll be doing

• Your principal responsibility will be to make an impact and lead us to better decisions for the company and our customers

• Leading a team of analysts who will be responsible for curating datasets, surfacing metrics, some statistical modelling, and deeper dive analysis that we expect to influence the direction of the team and the company

• You’ll be responsible for managing the Pricing Model, balancing the requirements of various stakeholders including Finance and Product, to ensure the company can deliver competitive and sustainable prices

• The team you’re applying for will be focussed on the following:

  • Own and improve the pricing model, partnering with commercial and cost owners to drive strategic pricing decisions, to maintain low, fair fees for customers. Analyze and explain underlying unit economics and profitability drivers across customer cohorts.

  • Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data models and pipelines to accurately allocate costs to products and transactions. Lead investigations into complex cost data to improve upstream data quality and allocation methodologies.

  • Serve as the primary conduit between the analytics team and product teams, translating business needs into actionable data insights and influencing strategic prioritization.

What you’ll bring

• 5-7 years experience as an analyst and 2-5 years leading others (can be overlapping)

• Experience working in a financial company

• Strong analytical ability

• Extensive experience using SQL to build and maintain complex data sources, and leveraging visualisation tools to surface critical insights

• Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing)

• Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements

• Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders

Nice to have but not essential

• DBT experience

• Experience working in a Pricing function
