Job summary

DOF Subsea Norway is seeking a Senior Analysis Engineer to strengthen our analysis team. You will develop models for engineering problems, performing dynamic and static analyses for subsea operations from our vessels to ensure safe, cost-effective installation solutions. The role emphasizes meeting customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Occasional offshore travel may be required as project needs evolve. Office locations include Bergen or Haugesund, with Oslo as an option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.
• 5+ years with Orcaflex and offshore operations.
• Flexlay experience; SIMOPRO is a plus.
• Knowledge of vessel motion analysis and RAO development.

Responsibilities

• Perform dynamic and static analyses in Orcaflex for subsea operations.
• Develop models and evaluate designs to meet client needs and regulatory standards.

Job description

Senior Analysis Engineer

We are looking for several experienced Senior Analysis Engineers to strengthen and further develop our engineering team within Analysis Engineering. We seek motivated Senior Analysis Engineers to become part of our dynamic Engineering team. The analysis engineering team are responsible for delivering fit for purpose installation analysis to projects and/or tenders, with specific focus on safe and cost effective installation operations.

As a Senior Analysis Engineer, you will be involved in developing models for engineering problems and analyse and evaluate various aspects for a design or system. Your creativity and expertise will be essential in creating and analysing solutions to meet customer requirements and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

By ensuring timely completion and maintaining exceptional quality in all assigned tasks, your contribution will play a crucial role in the overall success of our projects.

You will be involved in performing dynamic and static analyses in Orcaflex for subsea operations from our vessels, such as:

• Flexible product installation and lay table development
• Mooring in-place and installation
• Towing and station keeping
• Lifting analyses for complex lifts
• RAO development using Orcawave

Depending on project needs, there may be occasional opportunities to travel offshore and gain hands‑on operational experience.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree within marine/mechanical engineering or similar
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• Strong technical skills, creativity and problem‑solving abilities
• Programming skills (Python preferred) and knowledge of vessel motion analysis and RAO development are an advantage

In addition to the above, we believe you should have the following experience:

• 5+ years of experience with Orcaflex and relevant offshore operations
• Flexlay experience, experience with SIMOPRO is an advantage
• Working knowledge of DNV‑ST‑N001 and DNV‑RP‑N103
• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Able to lead analysis work scopes, and actively share knowledge and best practices with the team

Office location is Bergen or Haugesund; Oslo is optional. It is essential that applicants either reside within commuting distance or plan to relocate to meet this requirement. Please confirm in your application that you do so.
