Job summary

Wise's Global FinCrime PC&R team is seeking a highly motivated AML/compliance professional to strengthen controls across new and existing products. You will collaborate with product and engineering to design scalable, compliant risk controls that balance customer experience with regulatory expectations.

You will own AML control design, use data to measure effectiveness, drive improvements, and translate evolving regulations into product‑ready requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in AML/financial crime, with focus on implementing and enhancing AML controls.
• Experience in automation of financial crime controls to reduce manual effort while maintaining detection quality.
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop AML controls in an in‑house product environment.
• Strong data analytics skills to define good performance and translate insights into control changes.
• Clear communication, project coordination, and management skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• CAMS, ICA or equivalent certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own PC&R’s approach to AML control design and risk detection strategy.
• Collaborate with AML product teams to design controls and interpret global regulations.
• Identify and drive enhancements to improve risk detection quality and operational efficiency.
• Use data to define effectiveness of AML controls and support ongoing testing/assurance.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to implement and prioritise control improvements.
• Define project plans and drive end‑to‑end implementation.
• Review evolving regulations and translate into product‑ready requirements.
• Contribute to annual financial crime risk mapping and assessment.
