KWS LOCHOW GmbH is seeking a Seed Production Coordinator for the Bergen location, to support the Production & Logistics team in implementing and organizing seed multiplication activities across borders. The role emphasizes strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration within the Cereals Business Unit.

You will drive hybrid cereal production projects, manage costs, and lead interdisciplinary teams, with travel as needed and fluency in German and English required.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in agricultural sciences or agricultural master or commercial training with relevant knowledge and experience in the seed industry.
• Experience in arable farming or field trials is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ERP or SAP or goods management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all production-related activities for hybrid cereals.
• Ensure customer requirements are met while balancing cost and quality in seed multiplication.
• Plan seed multiplication of pre-basic and basic seed and manage multipliers and processors network.
• Collaborate with national Production Research, international SeedTech teams and Breeding to optimize multiplication and production including trials and pilot productions.
• Support cross-department IT projects and tools (SAP S/4 Hana).
• Assist in budget planning and production cost calculations.
• Lead hybrids in the future and supervise interdisciplinary teams.

In this exciting role, you will support the Production & Logistics team of our Cereals Business Unit in implementing, organizing and managing production processes and the associated seed multiplication activities.

Your exciting responsibilities in this role:

• Planning, organizing, and managing all production-related activities in the area of hybrid cereals
• Meeting the requirements of internal and external customers while considering cost and quality aspects in the area of high-level seed multiplication
• Planning seed multiplication of pre-basic and basic seed, including maintaining and expanding the network of multipliers and processors
• Collaborating with national Production Research, international SeedTech teams and Breeding to optimize multiplication and production, including trials, pilot productions and multiplication schemes
• Contributing to cross-departmental IT projects and communication tools, such as SAP S/4 Hana etc.
• Supporting budget planning and the calculation of production costs
• Taking on personnel and functional responsibility for hybrids in the future, as well as leading interdisciplinary teams

Bring in your strengths:

• A completed degree in agricultural sciences, agricultural master or commercial training with relevant knowledge and experience in the seed industry
• Experience in arable farming or field trials
• Knowledge of the seed industry is an advantage
• Knowledge of processes in enterprise resource planning or goods management systems would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel seasonally
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• Independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working, combined with the ability to quickly understand complex system structures
