Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Norway is seeking a Technical Safety Lead to develop safety solutions and ensure project compliance. Candidates must have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Safety Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in technical safety roles. Strong communication skills in English are a must. There is potential for long-term work until December 2027, with a start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical safety roles.
  • FPSO experience is preferred.
  • Communicate well in English - both oral and in writing.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Work as a Technical safety discipline lead with the following tasks:
  • Develop safety solutions and strategies to the required level of details
  • Area classification, escape and evacuation
  • Fire&Gas
  • ESD
  • Functional safety
  • Technical Safety Lead, responsible to follow up the discipline in the project
  • Responsible for ensuring that work is performed according to relevant instructions/procedures and in accordance with the contract
  • Responsible to follow project schedule
Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical or Safety Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical safety roles
  • Detailed knowledge of national regulations and standards (TR, NORSOK, etc.)
  • FPSO experience is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and thorough as well as ability to work in team
  • Multidiscipline understanding
  • Have a high loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements
  • Be proactive, seeking information on a multidiscipline level and share information with team
  • Communicate well in English - Both oral and in writing
