Shape the Safety Strategy & Join a Long-Term Project in Asker

Jefferson Wells is recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly experienced Safety/Technical Safety Lead. This is a long-term assignment with a duration of two years, where you will work on-site with our client. We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of Norwegian regulations and standards, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop safety solutions and strategies to the required level of detail
  • Area classification, escape and evacuation planning
  • Design and follow-up of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) and Active Fire Protection (AFP)
  • Fire & Gas detection systems
  • Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems
  • Functional safety
  • Act as Technical Safety Lead, responsible for discipline follow-up in the project
  • Ensure work is performed according to relevant procedures and contract requirements
  • Follow up project schedule and deliverables
Background and Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or safety engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with the listed tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of Norwegian regulations and standards (e.g. TR, NORSOK)
  • Experience from FPSO projects is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and thoroughly, as well as in teams
  • Multidisciplinary understanding
  • Strong communication skills
  • High commitment to deadlines and quality requirements
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
