Job description

👋 We are Kilter, and we’re on a mission to transform how food is grown.

At Kilter, we’re working to revolutionize sustainable agriculture and food production by harnessing the power of technology. With a growing global population and a shift toward plant-based diets, we need to grow more food on less land, while protecting nature and biodiversity.

That’s why we’re developing innovative agricultural technology, with our flagship product AX-1: a fully autonomous robot designed to transform modern farming. Using advanced AI and patented nozzle technology, AX-1 precisely targets weeds without harming crops or soil – reducing herbicide use by 95% and increasing crop yield by up to 35%.

We combine IoT connectivity, data analytics, and intuitive user interfaces to give farmers better control, better insights, and better results – right from the field.

About the role

As Robot Fleet Operator, you’ll be part of the team that keeps Kilter’s growing fleet of robots running smoothly in the field.’ll monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide first-line support to our farmers. You’ll also work closely with our development and operations teams to identify patterns, improve systems, and make sure every farmer gets real value from AX-1.

This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑growing tech company. Some days you’ll dive into system dashboards and data; other days you’ll be in direct dialogue with customers, solving problems and keeping things moving.

You don’t need to be an engineer – but you should be curious about technology, structured in how you work, and thrive when there’s a lot happening at once.

What you’ll do
  • Monitor a fleet of autonomous robots and act fast when something looks off.
  • Be the first point of contact for farmers – solve what you can, escalate what you can’t.
  • Track and report incidents, uptime, and performance metrics.
  • Work with internal tools like HubSpot, Grafana, and Kilter Farm to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with developers and the product team to improve the support systems and tools as we scale.
Who you are

We believe you’re someone who enjoys combining tech and teamwork. You might have a background in IT‑support, customer operations, logistics, or technical service – or maybe you’ve learned by doing and simply love understanding how systems work.

You’re likely someone who:

  • Is tech‑savvy and curious about learning new systems.
  • Stays calm and structured when things get busy.
  • Communicates clearly and builds trust easily.
  • Likes solving problems and improving processes.
  • Finds energy in helping people and seeing results fast.
Why join Kilter?

At Kilter, you’ll be part of an ambitious, hands‑on team that combines robotics, software, and agriculture to solve real problems. We’re a diverse group – some of us wear work boots, others slippers – but we all share a drive to make farming more sustainable and scalable.

You’ll get to work in a flat and open environment where initiative is valued and ownership is expected. As we grow, so will your opportunities to shape your own role and the systems around you.

We’re based at Langhus, just outside Oslo, with parking and charging available on site. We offer competitive compensation, flexibility, and the chance to be part of something that truly matters.
