Job summary

NTNU – Norwegian University of Science and Technology is seeking a researcher for the ERKetype project in Trondheim. The role focuses on computational high-content imaging analysis, Cell Painting and integration with multi-omics and clinical data.

You will develop reproducible Python-based analysis pipelines, collaborate with SINTEF Industry and NTNU partners, and contribute to publications and project milestones. The position is anchored in FlobakLab, with access to GPU resources.

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience with high-content imaging and Cell Painting.
  • Strong Python programming for scientific data analysis.
  • Experience with reproducible research practices, including documentation of code and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse Cell Painting and high-content imaging data from drug-screening experiments in cancer models.
  • Develop reproducible image-analysis workflows with CellProfiler-based segmentation and feature extraction.
  • Create Python-based pipelines for preprocessing, normalization and statistical analysis of large imaging datasets.
  • Extract and interpret morphological drug-response signatures at single-cell and population levels.
  • Integrate imaging-derived phenotypes with omics and clinical data for modelling and interpretation.
  • Contribute to data management, documentation and sharing of workflows within ERKetype.
  • Contribute to publications, conference talks and project deliverables.
