The position
A temporary position as Researcher in mathematical modelling of hub molecules is available within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA-DN) network HubMOL. The position is for a period of two years and three months. It will be affiliated with the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Group at the Department of Arctic and Marine Biology at UiT. The candidate will be enrolled in the Ph.D. program at the faculty. The research project will be on mathematical modelling approaches targeting mitochondrial metabolism of hub molecules with focus on metabolic flux analysis.
The workplace is at UiT in Tromsø.
The position's field of Research
The main task of the project will be the reconstruction of models of mitochondrial biochemistry with strong focus on transport and dynamics of hub molecules and related post translational modifications and the development of new approaches for metabolic flux analyses to unravel the impact of changes in hub molecules on protein modification dynamics.

The remuneration for Researcher is in accordance with the State salary scale code 1108, with a gross annual salary ranging from NOK 540.000,- to 590.000,- in a 100 % position.
