Job summary

NOV Aftermarket Repair in Søgne, Norway, is seeking a Repair Technician to join our workshop team. You will own repair projects from inspection through testing and documentation, performing overhaul, service, and maintenance on drilling equipment.

The role requires a mechanical or hydraulic trade certificate, hands-on experience with drilling gear, and strong IT skills. Norwegian and English communication is essential; forklift and crane certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in mechanical or hydraulic disciplines.
• Hands‑on experience with drilling equipment preferred; relevant experience from automotive, heavy vehicles, or construction equipment may be considered.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification and experience are preferred.
• Strong IT understanding and experience; good Excel and general computer skills are an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Experience preparing service reports is an advantage.

NOV Aftermarket Repair has an opening for a Repair Technician at our workshop in Søgne. You will join a team of technicians and service engineers working with our portfolio of drilling equipment, performing overhaul, service, and maintenance.

As a Repair Technician, you will take ownership of multiple projects from start to finish. This includes inspection, assembly, testing, and preparing reports and documentation. We are looking for someone with strong technical understanding, a background in mechanical work, and an interest in varied, hands‑on assignments.
