SME Careers is seeking a Norwegian Language Specialist to review AI-generated Norwegian content and craft high-quality reference material. You will evaluate language quality, provide precise feedback, and write strong rewrites to improve model outputs.

The role is hourly, remote, and contractor-based. Candidates should have a strong background in linguistics, Norwegian grammar, and English proficiency to guide quality and consistency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a language field.
• Native or near-native Norwegian proficiency (reading and writing).
• Strong English proficiency (C1+).
• 3+ years of language-focused experience (writing, editing, translation, QA).
• Deep understanding of Norwegian grammar and style, able to explain corrections.
• Experience with Bokmål and/or Nynorsk preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop training content: prompts and gold-standard Norwegian answers across domains.
• Evaluate and rank AI outputs for fluency, accuracy, tone, and culture.
• Detect unsafe or misleading content and validate reliability across use cases.
• Provide rewrites and model answers illustrating best practices in Norwegian.
