Job summary

First Choice Nurses is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. Choose shifts that fit your schedule and enjoy the flexibility of per diem nursing in leading acute care hospital settings.

RN candidates must have an active Virginia license, at least 2 years of PCU experience in the last 4 years, and be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Adapt to different hospital environments and unit needs.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
