Job summary

Eyecentric in Manuka, ACT is seeking a friendly and organised Reception / Optical Assistant to join their team. You’ll welcome patients, coordinate appointments, assist with frame styling, and provide basic clinical support with training provided.

No optical experience required, but customer service or retail background is valued. You’ll help maintain patient records, present premium eyewear, and contribute to a welcoming patient experience in a family-owned practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, retail or reception is preferred.
• Optical experience is welcome but not required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and coordinating appointments and enquiries.
• Assisting with frame styling and eyewear selection.
• Providing clinical support and pre-testing as training provided.
• Maintaining patient records and handling administration tasks.
• Presenting frames and displays to a premium standard.
• Working with the team to deliver a great patient experience.
