Job summary

Nordic Semiconductor seeks a Radio Integration Lead to own how our short-range radio IP is designed into Nordic products. You will bridge the radio IP team with product design, setting integration methodology and documenting scalable processes across multiple generations.

The role requires leadership through expertise, strong communication with engineers and management, and the ability to drive repeatable flows from planning to tape-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications, Physics or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with IC design or integration, including RF/analog IP or mixed-signal SoCs
• Knowledge of integration-critical topics: power supply and regulation, clocking and reference distribution, substrate and supply noise coupling, isolation, ESD and floorplan constraints
• Familiarity with mixed-signal implementation and verification flows, and with IP hand-off deliverables
• Proven ability to lead technical work across teams and to communicate clearly with engineers and management
• Structured approach to documentation and process, and the discipline to keep it current
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Support integration of the radio IP into Nordic products — collaborate with product design teams from planning through tape-out, resolving integration issues on floorplan, supplies, clocking, interfaces, isolation and interference
• Define and drive the integration and verification methodology — establish how integrations are planned, executed, checked and signed off, and improve flows, checklists and automation across projects
• Own the integration documentation and tools — define IP deliverables and integration guidelines, drive development and maintenance, and ensure quality for independent design teams
• Coordinate support to design groups using the radio IP — triage questions, prioritize across projects, track and close issues with the right stakeholders
• Review test results — assess verification and silicon measurement data, judge if radio meets expectations, drive root-cause when needed
• Keep integration status and risk visible — provide honest reporting to project and product stakeholders, escalate when an integration is off track

About the job

At Nordic Semiconductor we are looking for a Radio Integration Lead to own how our short-range radio IP gets designed into Nordic products. Our radio IP is reused across many SoCs and generations, and every integration brings its own mix of floorplan, supply, clocking, interference and verification challenges. This role makes sure those integrations go right the first time.

You will be the technical bridge between the radio IP team and the product design groups that consume the IP. That means being the person design teams come to with integration questions, setting the methodology for how integration is done and verified, and turning hard-won project experience into methodologies, guidelines, and documentation that scale beyond a single chip. You will work across RF and analog design, digital implementation, verification, systems and validation.

This is a technical leadership role. You will lead through expertise, methodology and cross-team influence rather than formal line management, while acting as the go-to authority on radio IP integration within Nordic.

Key responsibilities

As Radio Integration Lead you own how radio IP is delivered into and integrated within Nordic products. Your responsibilities include:

• Support integration of the radio IP into Nordic products — work alongside product design teams from early planning through tape-out, resolving integration issues on floorplan, supplies, clocking, interfaces, isolation and interference

• Define and drive the integration and verification methodology — establish how integrations are planned, executed, checked and signed off, and improve the flows, checklists and automation that make that repeatable across projects

• Own the integration documentation and tools — define what the IP deliverables and integration guidelines must contain, drive their development and maintenance, and hold them to a quality standard that lets design teams work independently

• Coordinate support to the design groups using the radio IP — triage and route incoming questions, prioritise across projects, and make sure issues are answered, tracked and closed with the right people involved

• Participate in review of test results — assess verification and silicon measurement data from integrated products, judge whether the radio meets expectations in context, and drive root-cause work when it does not

• Keep integration status and risk visible — provide clear, honest reporting to project and product stakeholders, and escalatearly when an integration is heading off track

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications, Physics or equivalent — or equivalent practical experience

• Several years of experience with IC design or integration, including hands-on work on RF/analog IP or mixed-signal SoCs

• Practical knowledge of integration-critical topics: power supply and regulation, clocking and reference distribution, substrate and supply noise coupling, isolation, ESD and floorplan constraints

• Familiarity with mixed-signal implementation and verification flows, and with the deliverables an IP hand-off consists of

• Proven ability to lead technical work across teams and to communicate clearly with both engineers and management

• Structured approach to documentation and process, and the discipline to keep it current

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
