Description

The opportunity:

For our Transformer Global Team we are looking for R&D Transformer Service Operations domain expert (f/m/d)

In this role you will be responsible for supporting and leading Research and Development projects related to Transformer Service Operations. Your focus will be contribution towards operations around transformer service portfolio, best practices collection, standardization and coordination of improvements within Transformer Service HUBs and local units together with Technology Centers and Research teams.

Responsibilities
  • Run standardization projects, propose and develop new operational concepts around new services, and simulate their expected performance in real pilots.
  • Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new / existing transformer services.
  • Making standard policies, instructions, training material to ensure the effective implementation of the targeted processes from operational, quality and knowledge transfer standpoint.
  • Provide support to other team member as well as local units when needed (operations, engineering, product management, product marketing, ...)
  • Participate in, and assist team members in a variety of more complex operations activities.
  • Global collaboration with scientists of Hitachi Energy Research team and Technology Centers, Technology Managers and Engineers from the various GPGs (Service / PT / DT).
Qualifications
  • MSc education within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field.
  • More than 10 years of proven experience within Power Transformers operations.
  • Experience in transformer service portfolio within multinational environment will be highly valued.
  • Ability to use effective methodologies around knowledge and experience capture.
  • Ability to create technical and operational documentation, training instructions…
  • Spirit of innovation, out of the box thinking.
  • Excellent abilities in teamwork in international teams with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of self-motivation.
  • A collaborative, structured, problem-solving, self-driven, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Other languages will be an advantage.
