Job summary

Simula Research Laboratory in Oslo invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the Q-VERSE EU project. You will develop software infrastructure to integrate quantum computing with HPC and cloud environments, coordinating work packages and collaborating with international partners.

The role focuses on designing frameworks, testing platforms, and middleware to advance European quantum computing research and open-source tools.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming and system development skills; experience with quantum computing software architectures or middleware.
• Strong expertise with software testing, benchmarking, and performance evaluation tools.
• Interest in quantum computing and hybrid quantum–classical systems; motivation to work in an international research collaboration.
• Excellent opportunities for performing high-quality research within a highly competent, international team.

Responsibilities

• Design quantum–classical workflow frameworks.
• Develop testing and benchmarking platforms for quantum applications and platforms.
• Build integration middleware to support European HPC and cloud infrastructures.
• Coordinate the work package led by Simula and contribute to deliverables.
