Kiwa PPI is seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist for an ad hoc consulting assignment in Tananger, Norway, supporting upstream field operations. The QCS will perform shop surveillance and quality inspection on downhole tools, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and industry standards.

The role is a 1099/Consultant assignment in Tananger, starting around October 9, 2026, with responsibilities including witnessing inspections, calibration verification, and report generation

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant inspection or quality control experience
• Experience with downhole completion tools or upstream oilfield equipment preferred
• Current Level II certification in Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Testing and Liquid Penetrant Testing
• Strong knowledge of inspection documentation, quality surveillance and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work on an ad hoc/consulting basis in Tananger, Norway

Responsibilities

• Witness inspections and testing per inspection test plans, quality plans, industry standards, supplier and customer requirements
• Verify inspection, measurement, and test equipment is calibrated/certified and meets all job related requirements
• Validate technician certification(s) are current for the intended scope of activity
• As the Customer Representative, work in a professional manner with Suppliers in regards to scheduling, deliveries, and overall job execution
• Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities
• Generate clear, concise, and accurate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of activities under surveillance
