Job summary

Kiwa PPI is seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist (QCS) for an ad hoc 1099 consulting assignment in Tananger, Norway, supporting upstream field operations. The QCS will perform shop surveillance and quality inspection on downhole completion tools to ensure equipment and manufacturing activities meet quality requirements and industry standards.

The posting notes a start date of October 9, 2026 and requires 5+ years of relevant inspection experience plus current Level II MP/UT/LP

Qualifications

5+ years of inspection or quality control experience.
Experience with downhole completion tools or upstream oilfield equipment preferred.
Current Level II MP/UT/LP certifications.
Strong knowledge of inspection documentation and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Witness inspections and testing per inspection test plans, quality plans, industry standards, supplier and customer requirements.
Verify inspection, measurement, and test equipment is calibrated/certified and meets all job related requirements.
Validate technician certification(s) are current for the intended scope of activity.
As the Customer Representative, work with Suppliers regarding scheduling, deliveries, and overall job execution.
Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities.
Generate clear, concise, and accurate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of activities under surveillance.
