Job summary

CTS Group is seeking an experienced QA/QC Electrical Manager to oversee all electrical quality assurance and quality control activities on a major data center project in Norway. You will ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in line with project specifications and industry standards, coordinating with subcontractors and commissioning teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electrical QA/QC or project engineering, preferably in data centers.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices.
• Experience with IST and T&C of critical electrical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with IEC/ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Electrical QA/QC strategy and inspection plans.
• Oversee electrical installations ensuring drawings and specs compliance.
• Manage inspection and test plans, checklists, and quality documentation.
• Lead electrical quality inspections for power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear/transformers, and cabling.
• Ensure execution of testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and commissioning teams.
• Review and approve technical submittals and shop drawings.
• Track NCRs and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and turnover documentation.
• Support client inspections and system handover.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Electrical Manager to oversee all electrical quality assurance and quality control activities on a major data center project. This role ensures that all electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in line with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Electrical QA/QC strategy and inspection plans

• Oversee all electrical installations, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards

• Manage and coordinate inspection and test plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality documentation

• Lead electrical quality inspections across key systems including:

  • Power distribution (MV/LV)

  • UPS systems

  • Generators

  • Switchgear and transformers

  • Cabling and containment

• Ensure proper execution of testing and commissioning (T&C) activities

• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and commissioning teams

• Review and approve technical submittals, method statements, and shop drawings

• Track and close non-conformances (NCRs) and implement corrective actions

• Maintain comprehensive quality records and turnover documentation

• Support client inspections and ensure successful system handover and acceptance

• Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 8+ years of experience in electrical QA/QC or project engineering, preferably in data centers or mission-critical environments

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices

• Experience with testing & commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure

• Familiarity with international standards and codes (IEC, ISO, etc.)

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Experience working with general contractors and specialist MEP subcontractors

• Strong attention to detail and documentation control

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on hyperscale data center projects

• Knowledge of commissioning processes and integrated systems testing (IST)

• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001)

• Familiarity with digital QA/QC tools and snagging platforms
