The Project Manager (PM) will be part of a team responsible for installing Security Systems at various customer premises. This role involves project managing and coordinating the installation of all or part of the company's received orders. The position requires a high level of initiative, autonomy, and flexibility to adapt to company changes and workload fluctuations.

The PM will supervise Installation Engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, and Environmental policies of the company and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. The Operations Director (OD) assigns new projects to the PM, who then plans, schedules, installs, and hands over the project.
  2. Review new project files with the OD to ensure understanding of contract conditions, equipment suitability, and resolve queries with the Sales team and customer.
  3. Manage project schedules and delivery timelines, proactively communicating any changes to the customer and sales team.
  4. Monitor project profitability and escalate concerns to the OD.
  5. Track project progress, advising the OD of any deviations or delays, especially those risking liquidated damages.
  6. Coordinate customer training, and ensure completion certificates are signed and provided.
  7. Provide all necessary documentation at project handover.
  8. Notify the OD of upcoming project completions for handover planning.
  9. Optimize invoicing schedules based on project feedback.
  10. Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO9001, Health and Safety, NACOSS, GDPR, and ISO27001 standards.
  11. Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • At least 2 years of project management experience with diverse projects in terms of size and value.
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Security Systems installation.
  • Training or awareness of standard contracts such as NEC3/4, JCT.
  • Ability to generate and interpret project programs using Microsoft Project or similar.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite, Visio, and Job Costing Software.
