Project Completion Engineer – MC Lead EIT

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Completion Engineer – MC Lead EIT to join our team in Børdalen. In this role, you will be responsible for leading MC activities within the electrical, instrument, and telecom disciplines.

You will play a central role in securing high-quality documentation, coordinating between engineering and MC, supporting suppliers, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant transition into commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Clarify and resolve technical queries (TQs).
• Ensure all mechanical completion documentation is complete and compliant.
• Verify that red line mark‑ups include P&IDs and SCDs.
• Issue completion certificates and manage handover to commissioning.
• Act as the link between MC engineering.
• Build strong working relationships across teams and with suppliers.
• Support engineering, construction, and vendors on matters related to mechanical completion.
• Participate in punch‑out inspections with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Verify and approve MC documentation from suppliers and update relevant systems.
• Implement, monitor, and report MC activities according to project plans.
• Contribute to achieving project HSSE targets within your area of responsibility.
• Maintain awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Identify improvements related to cost and project progress.
• Identify, communicate, and follow up discrepancies between design and installation.
• Follow up and sign off outstanding punch items for relevant disciplines.
• Perform MC punch activities and maintain punch lists.
• Report progress and issues that may affect the project to the Site Manager.
• Ensure all necessary information is entered into relevant systems according to schedule.
• Support commissioning activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical college or engineering degree within mechanical, electrical, automation, or similar fields.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in MC work within oil and gas projects, preferably offshore and/or power‑from‑shore.
• Strong experience with MC processes, project coordination, and completion tools such as PIMS.
• Solid understanding of cross‑disciplinary work, system‑based completion, and relevant standards (NORSOK, ATEX, IEC, etc.).
• Structured, solution‑oriented, proactive, and capable of delivering to deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.
• Motivational and inspiring, with a positive team‑oriented mindset.
• Confident in roles involving coordination, leadership, and driving progress.
• Strong HSSE awareness and commitment to quality.
• Fluent in English and Norwegian (written and spoken).
