Nammo is seeking a Program Director for the Medium Calibre product area in Raufoss. You will lead strategic development, manage major investments, and align product development with production capacity and market needs.

Responsible for the strategic and commercial development of the Medium Calibre product area, leading program managers and strategic initiatives.
As Program Director for Medium Calibre, you will be part of the Business Unit Small and Medium Calibre Ammunition (SMCA) and hold responsibility for the strategic and commercial development of one of its most important and fastest-growing product areas.
You will act as project owner for major product development and industrialisation initiatives, including investments in new production capacity, new sites and partnerships. Your focus is on direction, business cases, priorities and delivery.
You will work closely with the Vice President Programs & Products, fellow Program Directors, Product Managers and site organisations. Together, you will ensure alignment across product development, production capacity, pricing, supply chain and market requirements.
Monitor performance, risks and financial outlook, providing clear reporting and decision support to the Vice President Programs & Products.
Set product roadmaps and portfolio priorities in line with market needs, customer requirements and SMCA objectives.
Provide direct leadership to two Program Managers, setting clear priorities, enabling sound decisions and ensuring strong delivery across the portfolio.
Act as project owner for strategic initiatives, providing governance, direction and timely decisions on scope, funding and key risks.
Build business cases for major investments and secure support from group management, owners and financial partners.
Provide direction to Product Managers and site organisations to ensure effective execution across products and production sites.
Drive cross-functional decisions across engineering, R&D, production, supply chain, sales and finance.
Build key external relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and relevant public authorities.
You are a commercially minded and experienced leader who combines strategic perspective with sound business judgement. You build trust across functions and organisations, communicate clearly and make decisions with confidence.
You bring structure and credibility to major initiatives. You are comfortable working with complex technical products and large investment decisions. You understand how to turn market opportunities into commercially viable initiatives and how to create alignment around a shared direction.
A relevant higher education degree within engineering, technology, business or a related field.
Extensive experience from program management, product management, business development or other senior commercial roles in a technical and industrial environment.
Experience leading large development, industrialisation or investment projects as a project owner, sponsor or programme leader.
Strong commercial and financial understanding, including experience developing business cases.
Leadership experience and the ability to lead through others in a matrix organisation.
Experience collaborating across product development, production, supply chain, sales and finance.
A relevant higher education degree, preferably within engineering, technology, business or a related field.
Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
Experience from the defence industry, ammunition, weapons systems or other regulated technical industries is highly relevant.

Raufoss is the preferred location, while candidates based elsewhere in the Nordic countries will also be considered.
