Job summary

NTNU invites applications for a full-time Professorship/Associate Professorship in the area of Control of Power Electronic Converters and Electric Drives. The position sits in the PEM research group within the Department of Electric Energy (IEL).

The successful candidate will lead research in digital control of electric drives and power electronic converters, develop the PEM platform, and contribute to courses using modern pedagogical approaches. Interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in electrical engineering with specialization in Power Electronics and Electric Drives; strong background in control theory.
  • Educational competence for university teaching.
  • Norwegian language skills at level B2.
  • Significant contributions to research or artistic development at high level.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internationally recognized research in the area; initiate and lead externally funded projects with industry and partners.
  • Teach and develop courses at bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels; contribute to pedagogical development and labs.
  • Supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students; participate in committees and disseminate research results.
