Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in the UK is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the definition and delivery of our financial software solutions for wealth and asset management clients.

You will translate client requirements into clear product features, manage backlogs, collaborate with consultants and engineers, and ensure high quality releases on time and within budget. A strong regulatory and financial services background is essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics or IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into IT specs.
  • Minimum 5 years in wealth/asset management with analytical capabilities.
  • Experience managing digital solutions projects.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with implementation consultants to document, deploy, and configure solutions on client sites.
  • Fulfil the role of product consultant/SME to support customer implementations and internal teams.
  • Translate customer requirements into product specifications and enhancements.
  • Gather requirements for new product features and extend the core product.
  • Monitor regulatory changes impacting the product and customers.
  • Manage the backlog and define user stories.
  • Lead end-to-end development processes from requirements to testing and documentation.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities including RFIs and demos.
  • Collaborate with development and QA to deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
  • Represent the company as a main contact with customers and organize status meetings.
  • Handle customer calls and incidents and monitor adoption and satisfaction.

PRODUCT OWNER
Main responsibilities

In the role of Product Owner, you will:

  • Work closely together with our implementation consultants in documenting, deploying and configuring our solution both internally and on customer sites. This may be for both green field implementations or upgrades.
  • Fulfil the role of product consultant/SME in order to support customer implementations and to support the internal engineering team.
  • Translate customer business requirements into product specifications detailing enhancements and extensions to our product.
  • Conduct analysis and gather requirements for new product features/functionality in order to extend the core product.
  • Monitor and be aware of regulatory changes which may impact our product and customers.
  • Manage the backlog and define user stories.
  • Be responsible for and participate in the full development process from requirements gathering, analysis and development to testing and documentation.
  • Participate in pre‑sales activities including responding to RFIs, conducting pre‑sales demos and presentations.
  • Work together with our development and quality assurance team members in order to deliver high quality software, on time and within budget.
  • Represent the company being a key point of contact in relation with customers.
  • Organise and participate in regular customer status meetings.
  • Handle customer calls and incidents in collaboration with involved parties.
  • Monitor customer adoption and satisfaction and report on it to the management.
Requirements
  • Degree in (Business) Economics or IT, or equivalent through experience.
  • Strong ability to abstract and to translate business requirements in IT.
  • At least 5 years’ experience within the wealth/asset management sector with at least one of the following: creation of functional analyses based upon a high‑level scope definition; application(s) with a 3‑tier development structure.
  • Experience in managing projects focused on digital solutions, processes and/or digital products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

The candidate should have strong knowledge or experience in at least 6 of the following back‑office areas:
