Job summary

TechnipFMC in Norway seeks a Product Engineer to guide projects from customer requirements through specifications, design reviews, supplier follow-up, and FAT oversight. You will work with a team including the Product Project Manager, Lead Engineer, Planner and Project Engineer on IWOCS & LoF products in a demanding subsea environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and extensive hydraulic/electrical experience, with strong cross-functional collaboration and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in hydraulic and electrical engineering.
• Understanding of subsea engineering principles and production/workover products.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Performs and approves engineering solutions within projects, and manufacturing & fabrication, in accordance with department, project, manufacturing & fabrication instructions, schedules & processes and HSE requirements.
• Optimized engineering solutions.
• Technical assistance within projects, and manufacturing, fabrication, and installation sites.
• Approves design basis.
• May supervise sub-contractors.
• Guarantees the compliance of engineering solutions with client requirements, industry standards, and Group HSE, engineering processes, and best practices for the discipline.
• Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and engineering teams.

Job Purpose

In Controls & Automation, we execute and support subsea Control System deliveries. Our proprietary technologies provide functionality for monitoring and optimization of subsea Production and Intervention control systems, enabling safe and efficient operations. With our expertise and comprehensive solutions, we challenge what's possible. Every day.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Engineer to follow our products through our project deliveries. Starting with understsnding customers requirements. Build the spesifications according to standards and regulstions. Run design reviews. Follow up of supplier on fabrication and documentation, and finaly over see the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) at supplier. This work will be done as part of the teamwork between, Product Project Manager, Lead Engineer, Planner and Project Engineer.

The IWOCS & LoF department delivers the following products into projects: SACU/IWOCS, Reel & Umbilical, FlyWOCS and Umilical-less systems. Included in the IWOCS product family are IWOCS control system containers, SACU control system containers, SIL Safety systems, HVAC and Shutdown panels. Controlling Landing Sting Systems and X-mas trees hydraulicly and electronically. The IWOCS products are mostly built by 3rd party, so little in-house production.

You are meant for this job if:

• Bachelor degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline
• Long experience in the hydraulic and electric engineering environment
• Some understanding of subsea engineering principles, production and workover products and systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English both oral and written
